I.V.Cannulel:The I.V. Cannulae are designed in such a way that they are very easily inserted in the patient’s vein in order to administer liquid medicine, anesthesia, and other solutions. These are made of Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene, one of the most biocompatible materials with a lot of other factors to its advantage. So these can be used without the risk of thrombophlebitis (swelling of vein caused by blood clot).Available In Three Variants:
- With wings and injection valve:
The wings and an injection valve provide extra medication without pain. Specially designed cap on the top of cannula prevents contamination when the valve is not in use. - With wings without injection valve:
It comes with wings but without injection valve. It is best for cases with high risk of infection from additional openings in the cannula. - Without wings and without injection valve:
It is a "pen type" cannula without injection valve and without wings. It has long and broad needle base for a perfect grip and control. It is best for cases with high risk of infection from additional opening in the cannula.
All the above types of cannulae come in various gauges from gauge 14 till 26. The different gauges are there to ensure different flow rates as they have different diameters. Flow rates are different as the patients may have different requirements. They are differently coloured for the proper identification of the gauges and ease of administration.
